He Sees Every Sparrow

I recently purchased a bird feeder and mounted it in our backyard, so that my wife and I could enjoy the gathering of various species of birds that would come and enjoy breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner...as it seems those little guys and gals eat all the time.
Last evening, I stepped out onto our back deck to view the scene of a lively dinner party, when I noticed that one of our small feathered friends had fallen. It laid lifeless, its body still soft and warm.
Sadly, its wings will never again take flight and enjoy the adventures of the wind. At that moment, I felt the gentle approach of a familiar, unseen presence drawing near. I sensed our Heavenly Father, acknowledging our little friend... watching... observing... as I held its little body and laid it to rest.
Are not to sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father... Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. -Matthew 10:29-30
