Light Exposes Darkness

"Then spake Jesus to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." - John 8:12

Jesus had just been challenged by the religious leaders to publicly condemn a woman that was caught in a sinful act. He turns to her accusers and causes them to see their own sinful condition. Their accusation was an attempt to find fault with Christ, the Teacher. The sharp Word, which cuts to the joint, the marrow, and the bone exposes the sinfulness of the accusers' hearts and condemnation concedes to consolation of grace.

Light exposes darkness even in its most religious covering!
